Shrinkage can only occur if the backing of the carpet is wetted. The Hot Water Extraction recovers most of the moisture as it is laid down by the jets thus preventing any possibility of overwetting.

Some stains can be permanent so no guarantee can be given, however,H2O Cleaning Cork have a high success for removing stains including tea, coffee and wine, however previous DIY attempts to remove stains using inappropriate household chemicals may impede attempts to completely remove the problem.

We only use chemicals that have been tested and proven to be safe. We use PROCHEM agents and stain removers to clean furniture upholstery and carpets and rugs. These are used while washing, rinsing, and suctioning under high pressure. For those with allergies or young children, we have a special natural detergent that was specifically created for them.

We use an extraction machine, as opposed to a washing vacuum cleaner, which drastically reduces the amount of time required to complete the task. This is because our extraction machine is able to generate ten times the pressure that the average washing vacuum cleaner does. This means that after the upholstery/carpet is washed, it is only slightly damp and not soaked, and will usually take a few hours to dry completely.

However, if the stains being treated require flooding (e.g. urine, blood, difficult to remove stains), it may take up to 24 hours for the areas to dry. This also depends on the temperature and humidity levels in the room. Additionally, to expedite the drying process, we have industrial fans and dehumidifiers.

The machines used for extraction washing are not quiet since they are operated in a certain way; however, the loud sounds of these cleaners do not last too long, taking up to 70% of the entire cleaning process. Most of the time (95%), we are using a machine that is placed inside a van, so the loud noises are usually outside.

We are able to clean a room that is empty or one that has furniture in it, but we do not move the furniture. This helps to protect the color of the upholstery and to prevent the furniture from getting wet. It is important that the room is cleared of any everyday items before we clean it.

In order to maintain the quality of carpets, rugs and couches, it is suggested to give them a thorough cleaning at least once a year (especially if you have children and pets around, then it should be done more frequently).
